I want someone in my life who won't duck.I've been reading my two Chaim Potok books obsessively lately, and I really have to say that I adore, adore, adore Reuven. I could marry someone like Reuven. Although I don't think he'd want to marry me, seeing as how I'm not Jewish.
This surprises me because I think a year ago I would have fallen head over heels in love with Danny, the silent genius. Maybe it's just because he already has a girlfriend in the book, that I don't find him attractive. I'm not one for breaking up marriages.
I love Reuven's "The suffering son of the heathen writer is back" speech. I am going to go read that again.
