I was clicking on links and I saw a picture of this guy who looked like he was going bald even though he was only 28. This inevitably lead me to think about Scarf Guy, and oh Max, even though we have not had any exchange of words that remotely resembles communication in the past six months that I've been home, we had some great times and I miss you. This brings back a flood of memories. I also scrutinized the contents of my stuffed envelope yesterday and it had the following things of note:

*the program from The Complete Works of Shakespeare, Abridged. David Turner, the guy who plays all the gals, gave me a very yellow daffodil while pretending to vomit on me as Ophelia with very red yarny hair. I went home with a new crush that night.

*some ticket stubs: Harry Potter, which I saw on my 16th birthday with my great aunt. The Belle and Sebastian at the Orpheum that I didn't go to but kept the ticket of anyway. The Fall at the Knitting Factory, where I saw a WL-lookalike and Arseless Isobel and Brown Leather Coat Man and Scarf Guy. I spent 60 dollars at Rocks In Your Head that evening where Scarf Guy apparently hit on me. I am so clueless.

*birthday card from Stephen Malkmus!

*pictures of Stephen Malkmus!

*the communist robot angel "hey it's already 2003" card

*pictures of my friends, which I will not go into explaining the details of because it will take far too long, although it did occur to me that I should start making scrapbooks

I was talking to someone yesterday and he kept saying "Read Nietzsche, you'd like Nietzsche". The truth is, I just can't take someone who writes "I am so much better and smarter than all other human beings" seriously. That quote is verbatim from an English translation. The Nietzsche-pusher also told me I should have a crush on someone cooler than Warhol (because apparently Andy is a "pud") and I do indeed have a new crush, a fictional rabbi.
