I am back from the city. That's not The City, AKA Manhattan, but the city, as in just a city.

I went up Tuesday, spent a good hour being analyzed, and went to my grandmother's house after buying about 30 dollars worth of doughnuts and pastries. I watched television and nibbled on honeydew melon all afternoon.

On Wednesday, I went to my little cousin's first birthday party. She looked adorable in her hanbok (traditional Korean costume), but the camera ran out of battery so we could not take pictures. She is going to a photo studio later to pose for fit-for-calendars pictures. I ate a lot of sushi and these little chocolate truffles with praline and other nutty goodness.

Thursday, I met up with Oh-Yoon and watched a silly Korean romantic comedy. I had pizza/salad/spaghetti for lunch and took the leftovers home. In the afternoon, I went to look at a Picasso prints exhibit. (This was the 17th, as you can probably tell from previous entry.) It was amazing. I love that pervy greasy sketchy old man.

Friday I served as a textbook for my psychiatrist again, and then I went to buy AP books except I could not find any. I ended up buying Calvin & Hobbes comics, Flowers for Algernon, and Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis. I had dinner with a different friend and we were going to go watch Sinbad but all the showings until midnight were sold out. We reserved tickets for a 10:50 showing but my mother freaked out at the lateness and we ended up wasting money. I read the C.S. Lewis book on the subway while I was going home.

Saturday I met up with Hannah who graduated a long time ago and is at U.Penn, and we talked about C.S. Lewis ("Clive Staples??? no wonder he used his initials! that's just cruel of his parents.") and pants of bright fuscia and orange stripes (I had bought a pair the previous evening). We made promises to go to a theme park sometime before she leaves for Australia and I leave for NH, and parted. I then went to meet my friend from elementary school, and we saw Waiting for Godot. The play lasted two and a half hours, after which neither of us were particularly hungry. I ended up getting a salad for dinner.

I went to church with my parents and grandparents and my 34-month-old cousin on Sunday, then went to my uncle's office, got pissed when he refused to prescribe me weight loss drugs, got pissed at my parents for saying that I was not to lose any more weight, but perhaps they are right because my body fat is ridiculously low. We went to a really fancy Italian restaurant and the waiter served us toasted garlic baguettes with tomatoes sprinkled in olive oil and herbs and slices of fresh mozarella or parmesan cheese. My father drank more than half a bottle of the wine that cost far too much. I ate lambchops and slept the whole drive back to my house.

All in all, a very productive week. Now all that remains is to reduce my thigh muscle mass and study calculus.

P.S. the pants, which I fit into very snugly, make me look somewhat chubby because of the vertical stripes. I still love them, though, and my goal is to look slim in them by the end of summer. o-kay.
