year in nutshell1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
been practical and not whimsical
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i didn't make resolutions last year and this year's will be to stop biting my nails.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
yes.
and i named the child.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
no, but someone close to my father did.
5. What countries did you visit?
korea and usa. although i technically live in both places.
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
sleep
7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
the only date i can remember is november 17 for obvious reasons, like i turned eighteen that day. and the first weekend of november, that was the weekend of my freud-jung paper and spiritual crisis, and i also went crazy in front of ms brownback and she was wonderful about it.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
getting to know&talk to&(maybe?)become friends with so many cool people. funnily enough i have to address them all by their last names with the prefix of mister.
9. What was your biggest failure?
trying to befriend mr morante. the man is an island.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
my shoulder is in a chronic state of pain. my eyesight got worse and i'm going to be blind by the age of thirty.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
i don't know. my glasses. and the reading glasses. and some books.

no one's.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
no one's.
14. Where did most of your money go?
books and food. and glasses.

JUNG. and poetry. and david lehman.

living in the sunlight, loving in the moonlight. spongebob squarepants.

reading&writing

i already spent it. i watched a really good movie with my parents and went out to lunch and went to church. in backwards order.

many many times. currently in love with howard roark. and harvy knowles as usual.

none.

i didn't really watch tv. OH OH THE NAKED CHEF. and the critic.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
i don't think i really hate people. hate is a very strong word. schubes has brainwashed me.

psychology and religion.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
against me! some cool jazzy people.

good grades. good comments. reassuring comments.

good grade in history. Truth. but that's okay. i'll be patient.

does it have to be something made this year or something i watched this year? either way, this one.

i turned eighteen and ann marie took me out to dinner and i wrote papers.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
reading some things and writing some things. being published? har.

first half, "i don't care." second half, "i care for the first two weeks, and then i don't care again."

hugging trees. talking to mr weber.
